All Eye Tests in Scotland are FREE on the NHS to all current UK Residents.

For those patients Under 60 they should be seen every 2yrs. Patients Over 60, Diabetic or U16 should be seen every year.

There is a FREE range of spectacles available for Under 16’s through the NHS Optical Voucher Scheme but also fashion frames available to suit older to Teen styles.

It is very important to have a regular Eye Test to monitor not just a patients vision but also the health of the eyes, this is performed through the use of a Digital Retinal Camera which takes a photograph of the eye and gives the Optician an indication should there be any signs of High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Glaucoma or Cataract.

If you have any eyecare issue or worry at all, we can also arrange an appointment for a Supplementary Eye Examination, this would be due perhaps to a drop or sudden loss of vision, red eye problems, possible eye infection or referral to the Practice from a GP or Hospital.
